1. before you go to bed everynight, talk to your housemate about what you have done today, you know things like, how has this day been for you, what did you do, where did you go, and all that. try to go in as much detail as you possibly could. try to talk for at least 20 minutes every night. if you do not have a housemate, then talk to yourself. it can not be silent talk, it has to be talking out loud to either your housemate or yourself. think of this as a audio version of your personal diary.
2. buy newspapers everyday, read it out loud, no matter what section, entertainment, finance, politics, whatever, doesnt matter. the point is to make you read it out loud for about 30-40 minutes a day, so you get used to the most accurate grammar you would ever find on a daily basis. the theory is, when you get exposed to something everyday, you gradually get used to it and register it in your brain, so it becomes your subcontious. so next time when you are speaking about something, you would feel weird when you are not using the correct grammar.
3. watch the news every night. you wanna listen to it carefully. if it is just a noise in the background, it wont work. listen to it and try to make sense of it, repeat after the newsreader if you could.
4. talk to people, if you have the chance. english is only a language, a communication tool, like any other tools, the more you use it, the better you get (it sounds cliche, but people wouldnt say this if it wasnt true)
